The subtle balance of creating a high glide disc that doesn't flip out in headwinds or crosswinds must be tough, because there aren't many discs that can get it right. Consider the Explorer, which is a 7-speed, but carries just as far as most 9 speeds because of the high glide it features. Throwing it into a headwind, say 90m+ and it carves a long high-speed turn before fighting to glide back into its fade, but that wide lateral flight path is kind of a problem if you are shooting into a narrow channel. You might decide to go 8 speed with a fresh Volt is a good alternative, as the high-speed turn is barely noticeable, but then you are really thumping power into your throw as it doesn't glide nearly as much (perhaps with the exception of a properly beaten in Electron version).

Try the Getaway, and you will discover that Goldilocks balance of a high glide that holds its line even into headwinds and still fades off properly at the end, And if you really want to chuck it with power, it maintains its composure up to 115m with ease, which is probably why Kona Panis admits that its one of the longest flying fairways she has ever thrown.
