The Stag is a perfect addition to everyone’s bag. It has a good stability level and a smaller rim design to accommodate everyone. It is controllable, predictable, and will have a good release in the hand of any player. This is a great disc choice if you only want to carry only one fairway driver. For professional players the Stag will be straight tunnel disc that finishes with Hyzer. For lower arm speeds the Stag will finish left with a little less flare than drivers with the same flight integrity level.

A straight 8 speed for the intermediate player, a hyzerflip fairway for the bigger arm.

I was tempted to go the Full Cheesy with a headline like "Stag-geringly Amazing Round Plastic Throwy Thingy", but held back because while it did not make the bag, it would be unfair to a decent disc to not give it an honest review. The Stag feels a touch small in the hand, but that likely by design to make it feel controllable with an easily held rim and a shallow dome. The flight numbers suggest they really wanted a step up from something like the River, i.e. more stable, and a bit longer, but with the same high glide features that flatter the slower arm. In all those respects, I give it full marks. However, once you progress past the level where an 80m throw on the fairway feels short, the Stag starts to drop a few points in utility. High glide usually comes at the cost of vulnerability to strong winds or overturning, and the Stag is no exception. After a couple of months of testing, I found myself putting ever deeper hyzer angles into it to manage its flight, and when it went well, it was a lovely straight hyzer flip disc or a very long downwind driver. But to make the bag, I needed to trust it properly and it didn't beat the Explorer or the Volt in terms of distance, angle flexibility or general reliability to earn that spot.

I absolutely adore the stag. It's definitely a disc worth getting.
It works well both forehand and backhand and I find it much more reliable than an explorer with my arm. It's get a very subtle turn when thrown with power and has a decent fade at the end. Easy distance with this disc for everyone!
