Octane falls in the general stability lineage of Switch, Amp, Inertia, and Wave, with a slow-turning profile that holds long and straight until its fade finish. The 23mm Octane is designed to be relatively less understable than its 21.5mm counterpart Wave. Average throwers should see straight flights with a bit of shallow turn, while power throwers will be able to hyzerflip for max distance and tailwind lines.

Bomber disc

I thought id give the fission octane a go to see if it could become my go to "distance" driver.
I decided to go for a mid 160gram (164)i believe to see how it flies. Brand new just flew dead straight with a nice fade, not a very hard fade but enough to trust it in a slight wind.

After a couple weeks of tree hits, floor hits and general use this thing has become an easy bomber disc, thrown flat at 80-100% power i get a little turn and then a nice fade back to get thay full "s flight" shape for max distance over 120m easily.
On a slight hyzer ill get a flip up and a long straight flight with the fade up to 140m on a full rip.

Where this disc shines for me is a long forehand hyzer which holds and keeps going for close to 110m if i really hit it hard. The light weight and fission plastic enable the full gyro effect.

I will 100% try to get another few of these in light weight and max weight to try out
