Why was the Explorer voted the 2018 Disc of the Year? Straight flight path and controlled glide, that’s what the Explorer brings. Designed to be the workhorse for all kinds of accurate fairway drives. This stable and versatile fairway driver is smooth out of the hand and has a clean stable flight.

A reliable OS fairway driver

If you've got the arm for a 12-speed driver and throw the Explorer with the same power, that disc will just be a stable fairway driver that will show a hint of turn (as it beats up) but one that can be reliable for controllable distances where a control or distance driver may be too much. It's not the best for those with a decent arm speed throwing slightly downhill with a wee bit of headwind (or flat ground with a noticeable headwind) but it gets the job done without burning right.

Comfortable in the hand, great control driver from 50m to 120m, Disc of the Year for good reasons!

I carry about 3 of these in the bag, in various plastics and stages of wear. (RHBH) The most beaten up disc flies straight for 75m to 90m, and hyzer flips or turns over from 90m onwards. The stable versions I use for 100m hyzer drives that will always fade back into line, or for 120m+ distance turnovers. The reason I keep coming back to it is basic comfort in the hand and the controlled glide. It fits my grip so well I am confident in using it even when the wind is up or when touch lines are required.
